Nyofelleh, who made a slow start to the tournament after a goalless draw against Mamuda in their opening group game a fortnight ago, knew that a defeat against Tujereng would really dash their chances of reaching the `quarterfinal.
Hence they came all out for a win and managed to notch in a single goal to grab the maximum points.
Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Nyofelleh was Tujereng’s first defeat in the tournament since the start of the district biggest football fray last month.
Tujereng and Nyofelleh are both with 4 points each but Tujerenghave played more games than Nyofelleh, who are bracing up for their last group game against Tanji, with the hope of winning against Tanji to cement their place in the quarterfinal.
It would be recalled that Nyofelleh have never reached the Kombo South district biggest football fiesta since its inception in the 80s.
