One Samba Bah whose frequency on the corridors of justice is beginning to bring him notoriety. Last Monday the Mr Bah was convicted and sentenced by the Kanifing Magistrates' Court to six months imprisonment for arming in public.
While perusing the evidence before him, Magistrate Mahoney said that the convict was on a previous occasion convicted at the Kanifing Magistrates' Court. He further pointed out that the same convict has once jumped bail only for a bench warrant to be issued for his subsequent arrest.
Despite of all these startling revelations Mr. Bah begged the court for mercy, as he is a young man looking for a brighter future. He added that it was not his intention to go armed in the public. The presiding Magistrate ruled that the crime was a serious one and the convict was a habitual offender and therefore needed some punishment as a deterrent.
