The Normalisation Committee of the Gambia Football Association last week added on to its committee the chairman of the Gambia Referees Committee and acting chairman of the Gambia Football Coaches Association to increase its membership.
According to a media dispatch from the Media Officer of the Committee, the decision to admit two more members was taken during its weekly briefing held on Wednesday 14 November 2012 at the GFA Boardroom in Kanifing, where the Committee “unanimously concluded among other items” to incorporate Lamin Camara and Pa Suwareh Faye respectively, as new co-opted members with effect from Thursday 15 November 2012.
The dispatch added that Camara and Faye’s immediate inclusion in the normalization process stems from the ardent desire of the executive to beef up the membership and open up to more ideas to bring about a clear and realistic change left by a former committee member in the person of Cherno Barra Touray, who is now on international assignment.
With inclusion of the duo, it is envisaged that Camara and Faye as new members of the Normalisation Committee will add more impetus and propel the committee’s speed for the objectives towards the new period hence their vast knowledge in football related matters.
The release further added that the Normalisation Committee once again takes this opportunity to reassure Gambians of its desire to fulfil yet again its renewed mandate for a better structural football adjustment.
It also avails itself of this opportunity to thank all stakeholders for their support and genuine contributions towards the realization of the Committee’s desire of transforming Gambia football.
