Noor-ul Islam, a charitable organisation based in the United Kingdom (UK), in collaboration with their counterparts Kaddija Stepelton Facy yesterday Thursday donated learning materials to Yunus Memorial Nursery School in Bundung.

This, according to the donors, is part of their efforts to promote, develop and improve the standards of education in The Gambia.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony held at the school grounds, the coordinator of the organisation, Abdoulie Faal, said his organisation was established in 2000, with the sole aim of improving small-scale business and improving the lives of the Gambian people.

He revealed that his organisation last donated item worth 50, 000 pound sterling to the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital (RVTH), and also school materials to Farato Nursery School in Kombo South, Western Region.

For his part, the headmaster of Yunus Memorial Nursery School, Alieu Badara Njie, applauded the donors for their benevolence, adding that the donation would be put to good use.
