The National Inter-Departmental Sport Association ( NISA) have been invited by their Senegalese Counter-part to participate in the forthcoming Regional Sporting competition to be held in Zinguihor from the 9-10 of January 2009.
In An interview with Pointsports NISA Secretary General Saihou B Jarjue said for the past years NISA Gambia and Senegal have had series of exchange programs but it was only limited to football but this time around the event will includeAthletics , Scrabbleand other indoor games.
Mr Jarjue pointed out that 5000 athletes are expected to attend noting that on the side of NISA they have started the preparation for the event and the Gambia will participate fully in the event.
In another development last Friday the NISA executive briefed the association president General Lang Tombong Tamba, about the event.
