Gambian Athletes to Participate in London Marathon Race

Following the successful hosting of the 14 edition of the Brufut Marathon last week two Gambian Athletes who won the male and female race this year namely Ansu Sowe and Mariama T. Jallow will represent The Gambia next year in the London Marathon Run

Speaking in an interview with Pointsports Mamudou Max Jallow International Liason officer of the Brufut Marathon run, stated that the Brufut Marathon run association will register the Gambian Athletes to the great Bupa run in London to represent the country.

Mr Jallow said the run is an annual event held during the summer and it normally takes place in Manchester, London and New Castle.

He pointed out that during the event the Gambian participants will also raise funds to support community projects in the country.

He also used the opportunity to thank the sponsors of this year namely Mustapha Njie of Taf , Friends of the Gambia, and John Cater of the Tallinding project.
