Mrs. Esther J. Audu, the Nigerian High Commissioner to The Gambia, made a generous donation to the National Inter-departmental Sports Association (NISA) at the Nigerian High Commission on Friday.
The donated items were one desktop computer, a sofa set, two office cabinets and a cupboard.
Speaking at the ceremony, Her Excellency Mrs. Esther Audu said that Nigeria is a friend to The Gambia and, as friends; they are bound to assist one another in terms of need.
"When the mission was approached by NISA for assistance, I thought it is proper to purchase these items as part of our contribution to the set up of their permanent secretariat," she said.
She added that Nigeria and The Gambia have come a long way, and that they at the mission are delighted to share the little they have as their contribution to the well-being of their brothers and sisters in The Gambia.
