Nguma FC at the weekend beat Leeds United FC by 2-1 to secure a place in the quarterfinals of the ongoing Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation (SESDO) Nawettan championship played at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium.

Both teams started the game brightly by knocking the ball around and also creating few chances but could not capitalize on them till in the 20th minute when striker Madi Fatty opened the scoring for Nguma FC from a sensible shot.

Eighteen minutes later Madi Fatty netted the second goal of the game for his side to register his second goal of the day.

Abdoulie Bah pulled a goal back for Leeds United midway into the second period of the game from a brilliant free-kick but it could only serve as a mere consolation for his side as they lost 2-1 at the end of the game, which has sent them out of both trophies.

The win now means Nguma FC are now through to the quarterfinals of the nawettan competition.
