Gamsports.com, a news site dedicated to Gambian sports has been set up in the UK. Its objective, according to Yusupha Cham one of the initiators, is to add its quota to the very good efforts of the already existing sports media at home, in the drive to promote and carry the news on Gambian sports to the world arena as well as create an avenue for budding sports journalists to have yet another chance and a medium to express themselves and report the stories they cover daily.
Lamin Cham, another of the initiators, said Gambian sports have come to a level where the great achievements attained must be commensurate with its profile around the world, and Gamsports wish to make the appropriate noise about this and take it to further heights through accurate and professional reporting of the sports news, commentaries and features that will not only portray contemporary issues on Gambian sports but also dig out the past to provide guidance to all stake holders:
He continued: "We wish to extend a warm welcome to all our colleagues at home and abroad to embrace gamsports as one of their own.
The site which is still being built up, is available at www.gamsports.com.
