Aug 14, 2012, 12:55 PM

Sanna Nyassi’ has once again netted Impact winner against New England to complete a record of two goals against New England this season as the Montreal Impact earned a 1-0 away victory over the New England Revolution.

According to goal.com, Sanna’s second-half solo effort was the difference at Gillette Stadium  on Saturday, which is replica of his first record against the side when he netted in a 2-1 win over the Revs at home earlier in July.

Unlike the first encounter, his twin brother Sainey Nyass, who plays for New England, did not feature in the squad that lost over the weekend but in the July encounter, Sainey featured just for 11 minutes in the second half.

Sanna Nyassi’s solo effort 15 minutes into the second half was the punishment Revs had gotten in Saturday’s home match.

The Gambian stole the ball well inside his own half, and went on a 75-yard sprint, cutting through A.J. Soares before firing home from outside of the box, according to goal.com.

The win has sent Montreal within three points of a playoff spot. They are contender this spot with DC United.

New England playoff berth chances are slowly slipping away due to inconsistent performance.
