As the summer’s biggest football competition, better known as Nawettan, continues to gain momentum across the length and breadth of the country, PointSport gives a roundup of the showdown and the clubs’ shape of form.

In Brikama, Kabafita United FC have bounced back to their winning form in the 2013-2014 Brikama Nawettan after beating reigning league and Super Cup champions Chimo United 2-0 at the Brikama Mini Stadium at the weekend.

Fortune FC thrashed Gidda Youths FC 3-0, while Sky Power FC beat Jamisa FC 2-1 in a well-attended game.

In Sukuta, Regin FC walloped Sutubakono FC 4-0 in the ongoing Sukuta Nawettan game played at the Dembadou Mini Stadium in Sukuta at the weekend.

In Gunjur, Steve Biko FC and NAS FC are through to the quarterfinal in the 2013-2014 Gunjur Nawettan after finishing first and second positions in group C.

Steve Biko FC beat Kajabang FC 1-0 on Wednesday, courtesy of Alieu Joof, to top group C with 7 points in three games, while NAS FC drew 0-0 with struggling Sibindinto FC on Tuesday to finish as runners-up in group C with 5 points in five games.
