NAS FC registered their first victory in the Basiru Bayo's sponsored Gunjur Nooran Football Tournament after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Kulukochi United FC at the Gunjur playground on Saturday.
The first half of the game was dominated and controlled by Kulukochi United FC who launched series of goal-scoring attempts but failed to capitalise on their limited-scoring opportunities and thus the first half ended 0-0.
Upon resumption, Kulukochi United FC continued their supremacy over NAS but again failed to make the best use of their limited chances.
NAS FC scored the lone goal of the game courtesy of Ebrima Bojang’s 69th minute strike.
Kulukochi United FC fought back and created goal-scoring chances but failed to break the deadlock.
NAS FC now top group A with three points in one game, while Kulukochi United FC are rooted at the bottom of the table with zero point in a single game.
