President Yahya Jammeh has appointed Nana Grey-Johnson as Secretary General No. 2 with immediate effect.
A statement issued by the presidency announced Thursday evening that Mr Grey-Johnson will also double as Minister of Information and Communication Infrastructure.
Nana Grey-Johnson, a veteran journalist, joined the cabinet on 12 March 2013.
It would be noted that Dr Njogu L. Bah, the Minister for Presidential Affairs is Secretary General and Head of the Civil Service.
