Musa Jatta banned for remainder of season

Musa Jatta of Steve Biko has been banned for the remainder of the season, for hitting and persistent use of abusive language against the match official in their game against Marimoo FC played on Friday 17th April 2015 at the Manjai Kunda Mini Stadium.

The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) has announced that he will not take part in any of Steve Biko’s matches for the rest of the season.

Giant killers’ goalkeeper Yaya Sidibeh has been warned to desist from attempting to attack match officials, added the release, which went on to state that the incident happened during Steve Biko’s game against Marimoo at the Manjai Kunda Mini Stadium.

Meanwhile, Armed Forces FC have been fined D2500 for the loss of a match ball, which was deliberately kicked out of the playing vicinity.

This incident according to the media release happened during their game with Gamtel at the Serekunda East mini stadium.

The match ball was never returned, prompting the organising committee (OC) to fine the khaki boys D2500.

Consequently, their kits manager Mass Lowe, who deliberately kicked the ball out of the mini stadium, was suspended.

Furthermore, Patrick Mendy of GAF FC have been warned strictly to desist from using abusive language during matches. Mr. Mendy has been told that such actions would result in severe penalties in the future.

The Armed Forces FC effected the payment before their match against Bombada as requested.

All the players who were due for suspension by collecting two yellow cards are suspended in their clubs next scheduled match after Monday 27th April 2015, the release concluded.
