Momodou Saidy replaced Pa Malick Faye, who was yesterday relieved of his duties after three and a half years at the helm of affairs at the Daily Observer newspaper.
When contacted, both Saidy and Faye confirmed the management changes at the country’s biggest daily newspaper.
Commenting on the development, Pa Malick Faye said: “I was called upon to serve, and I did it to the best of my ability. What happened is rather unfortunate, but I take full responsibility, even though I was not directly responsible.”
He thanked the proprietor, management and the staff of the Daily Observer newspaper and the general public, “for their support and encouragement throughout my three and half years’ tenure.”
