In his testimony, officer Fadera told the court that he recognised the accused person and could recall what happened on 9 September 2014.
He was at the Brikama Police Station when his station officer informed him that there was an accident at Dasilameh Highway.
He said that upon receiving the information, he left the police station together with both drivers who had an accident and one Sgt officer to the scene.
According to him, upon arrival at the scene, he drew a sketched plan of the accident in the presence of both the drivers, adding that he went back to the police station together with the drivers.
At the police station, both the two drivers confirmed the accuracy of the sketched plan and thumb-printed it, he said, adding that the two vehicles were later tested by the testing officer at the police station.
After the testing, both vehicles were released from the police station and warning a letter was issued to both drivers, he said.
He said that later the accused, Madi Mbaye, was charged with careless driving according to the sketched plan and the witnesses’ statement.
At that juncture, the police prosecutor applied to tender the sketched plan, which was admitted by the court without any objection from the accused person.
Hearing continues.
