The convict, Lamin Camara, was said to have stolen six mobile phones from different persons at Bakau.
According to the facts of the case as narrated before the court, it happened on 1 May 2013, at Bakau, when the convicted person went into six different homes and stole therein six mobile phones.
He stole from the following people: Nyama Manneh, Sohna Sama, Nyima Samba, Sulayman Bah and Meta Jamba, a Blackberry valued at D2,500, two Samsung phones each valued at D1,100, two Nokia phones each valued at D1,000 and Sendo mobile valued at D1,200.
The facts added that the convict was arrested in the house of one Nyambou Jammeh and taken to Bakau Police Station where a search was conducted and they found the said moblie phones with him.
He was cautioned and charged with the offence committed.
In his plea of mitigation, he begged the court to temper justice with mercy, saying his parents had passed away and he had two younger brothers he was taking care of.
