Sang L. Mendy, head coach of Milan Rossoneri FC, has expressed confidence that his team can defend the league cup title this season.
Sang, who was speaking to Pointsports on 8 September 2013 following his side’s 2-0 win over Manchester United, added that they strongly believe they can do it.
“In anything that you are doing if you have the confidence and belief that you can do it, you will do it, with the help of God,” he remarked.
He said they came all out for victory after losing the Super Cup final to Maccassa FC in order to restore back the confidence and belief of the fans in the team.
He said they were not under any pressure coming to face Manchester United who won their first encounter against United Stars FC by 2-nil. “The quality of his team is different from that of United Stars,” he said.
The game was difficult, he also noted, adding that they knew they were going to win looking at the quality of players at their disposal.
They will prepare very well for their next encounter to collect the maximum points to be able to stand a better chance of making it to the next stage of the competition, he determinedly stated.
Calling on the fans never to lose faith in the team, despite losing the Super Cup final to Maccassa FC, Coach Mendy says football is either win, lose or draw and urged the fans to continue supporting the team.
