The security firm on 1 August 2013 donated cartons full of T-shirts to the children’s village at a ceremony held at the village’s Bantaba in Bakoteh.
In presenting the items, Amadu Jallow, director of operations at the company, said his company provides security services to large and small institutions, and commercial, industrial and residential clients.
“We are a security services with a difference where trustworthiness, honesty, integrity and dedication are never compromised,” he said.
According to him, the company was founded two years ago and has since been working with different companies and institutions to provide security solutions in The Gambia.
He said they serve residential and commercial clients as well as NGOs and Government departments.
“We have highly motivated and well-trained security personnel to deal with today’s critical and ever-changing security needs,” Mr Jallow said.
“Today’s donation towards the SOS Children’s Village is a clear testimony of the company’s readiness to support and partner with the village for future support,” he added.
In receiving the material, Haddy Njie-Touray, the village director, said supporting the SOS Children’s Village is a worthy cause.
She expressed appreciation over the gesture and assured the donor of proper utilization of the materials.
For their part, Lamin Sambou, operations manager, and Safiatou Chatty, marketing manager at Metro Security, said their company is committed to fulfilling its corporate social responsibility.
They are out not only to make profit but also to share with the needy and most deserving in society, they added.
