A drug
suspect, Yaya Colley, was Wednesday arraigned before Magistrate Secka of the
Brikama Magistrates’ Court, charged with being in possession of prohibited
drug.
The particulars of offence read that the accused, Yaya Colley, on 16 May 2013, at Sinchu Alagie village, was found with 740 grams of cannabis sativa, thereby committed an offence.
Colley denied the charge and was granted court bail of D300,000 with two Gambian sureties, one of whom should deposit a property document with the court’s registrar.
The sureties must also depose to an affidavit of means and deposit their valid ID cards.
Hearing continues on 14 August 2013.
