Two
Tallinding-based teams, Medina FC and T- Town became the latest teams to book
their place in the quarterfinal of the Serekunda East Senegambia Real Estate
sponsored knockout tournament following their wins over Leeds United and Ebbeh
Gi played at the Serekunda east park on Wednesday.
Medina
FC eliminated Leeds United after a 3-1 score-line in the earlier kickoff game.
Medina FC who has been in both (League and Knockout) competitions is termed as
one of the favourite team in this year’s Serekunda East competition following a
bright start of the tournament.
This
defeat has now make Leeds United team to hang their boots until next year
following their elimination in both competitions.
Elsewhere, the young T- Town side has also
eliminated Ebbeh Gi FC a 4-3 post-match penalty shootout following a goalless
draw in the regulation time.
T-
Town are now having only the knockout tournament to compete after been
eliminated in the league competition, has made a fine displayed which caught
the attention of most of the fans during Wednesday’s encounter.
Ebbeh
Gi FC has also had their season ended after been eliminated in both trophies
tournaments.
Meanwhile,
at the time of going to press on Thursday, the Willingara-based team,
Manchester United were battling with the Abuko-based team, Uprising FC in the
earlier kickoff, while in the late kickoff, it was a Bundung derby between
Bijan Kerr United and Shop Bi.
