Nyafullen United FC, a local football club in Brufut, recently received football materials from a British couple Dave Statham and Jacqui Brown at the club's residence in Brufut.

The materials included four sets of jersey, football boots, shin guards, gloves and balls.

Receiving the materials on behalf of the club, Alieu Sanneh, the club coach, thanked the donors for remembering his club after promising to render a helping hand couple of years ago.

Sanneh, who took up the managerial position at the club since its formation, recalled the time when his club was managed by "good members" of his communities.

"I am very happy to stand here to receive these materials from our very good friends," he said. "This reminds me of the time when we use to contribute to buy jerseys for the club. Thank God that today we are receiving such quality materials from our very good friends of the club."

For her part, Jacqui Brown explained how they met Ebrima Jatta who introduced them to the club.

"Four years ago, we were wandering on the streets of Kololi looking for a place we can watch football. Then we met Ebrima who took us out to watch football at a local football field. "Since then, we have forged a partnership which has grown into becoming a very fruitful partnership," she said.

Jacqui said that the materials presented to the club were donated by Aim High Organisation in England and a local club called Guebe FC.

Speaking at the occasion on behalf of The Gambia Football Association, Buba K. Jallow, Gambia's female national team coach who also doubles as the West Coast Regional coach, urged Nyafullen United to make the best use of the donated items. He also urged the donors to continue to render support to the club.

In attendance at the presentation ceremony were Lamin Fadera, club adviser, Ebrima Jatta and Alagie Ndow.
