T-Junction and Manju, two heavyweights in Basse football, will lock horns in the ongoing Basse Association (BA) Memorial Trophy to be played at the Basse Mini-Stadium tomorrow.

The ultimate aim of organising this tournament is to reignite memories to defunct players of the region and also to re-kindle the inspirations of those sporting personalities who are no more but have contributed immensely towards the development of sport in Upper River Region, says Dawda Sankary, football administrator in Basse.

T-Junction has relished on two games on the road with victories over Halem and Basse United to book their place in the much-talked about final scheduled to be played on Saturday at the Basse Mini-Stadium.

Manju FC secured two wins over Angal Futa including a 3-nil success in the replay, to secure a place in the final with the defending super cup champions.

The winners of the memorial trophy will go home with a cash prize of D5,000.

The runners-up will receive D3,500 and a consolation prize of D1,000 to the third place occupant.

Basse Sports Committee also went further by urging all sport enthusiasts from the region and the world at large to help Basse Association in sponsoring the newly registered second division team called Babe Basse Eleven.
