The Bundung Magistrates' Court presided over by Magistrate Kumba Sillah-Camara recently convicted and sentenced one Ebrima Mbye, a resident of Mariama Kunda.
He was sentenced to a fine of D2000, in default to serve one year in prison for the offence of wilful damages to property. He was also ordered to compensate the complainant in the sum of D1000, in default to serve six months in prison.
According to the charge sheet, on 16th August 2007, at Mariama Kunda, the convict Ebrima Mbye wilfully and unlawfully damaged some maize and cassava, valued at D2500, being the property of one Musa Marong.
