Female League Resume This Weekend

The 2008 to 2009 GFA female league has once again demonstrates a remarkable progress as some teams are showing brilliant performance whiles others fails to deliver.

The 1st division female league which has produced 12 goals in 5 games will enter its 3rd week at the Seaview football field at the Independence Stadium this weekend.

Company Ten are currently on top of the 6 club championship with 6 points having conceded only a single point with a total of 5 goals in their disposal so  far.

They will go into their weekend encounter with some thing to be optimistic about when they entertain 2nd place Interior on Friday.

Interior are leveled on points with the leaders with 6 points each with only a single goal separating  the two.

Interior is closely followed by Kinteh United who collected their first win following a narrow 1-0 victory over Makasutu at the Seaview football field at weekend.

They will face Abuko United who are struggling to collect their first win in two fixtures but they have a game in hand when they take on red scorpions who are also fighting to register their first victory in two matches.

Makasutu who suffered the heaviest defeat so far in the league are rooted at the bottom of the female league table.

Meanwhile the Female 2nd division league championship have also produced some fantastic games which is also in its 2nd week at the Seaview football field.

JamCity are leading the table with 6 points in 2 matches closely followed by Armed Forces who collected 3 points despite conceding their first defeat in the week second fixtures.

Future Bi and Jeshwang United who were held to a goalless draw in the week second fixtures both collected 1 points each and are hoping to recovered from their disappointing start to the season when they lock horns with Jam City and City Girls respectively.

A total of four goals has been registered in the female league 2nd division so far.
