Gambia International Ken Abdoulie Mansally contract at Real Salt Lake has expired since January 3, 2013.

The Gambian striker joined the side in June 2012 from New England Revolution.

He made 6 appearances for the MLS side without recording a single goal. He was part of the list of unprotected players in the MLS Real Salt Lake expansion list, according to club’s website.

Real Salt Lake recently signed defender/midfielder Lovel Palmer, nearly three weeks after selecting him in the first round of Stage 2 of the MLS Re-Entry Draft.

“Lovel is a versatile player who is excited to add to our roster,” RSL general manager Garth Lagerwey said. “He is a proven player on both the MLS and international levels and we believe he’ll be a good fit in our system.”

Palmer, 28, signed with the Houston Dynamo from Jamaican side Harbour View in 2010.  He was traded to the Portland Timbers in 2011, where he played for a season and a half at both right back and defensive midfield. He has three goals and two assists in 79 career MLS appearances.

Internationally, Palmer has 24 caps for the Jamaican national team, and he should be a part of the squad as it heads into the CONCACAF hexagonal in 2013.

Real Salt Lake who had a successful season last year, will play San Jose in the opening of the MLS in March.
