Manduar Health Post Receives Boost

The Hulp ann Gambia Africa charitable organisation, based in the Netherlands in collaboration with Gambia-Afrika-Hilf e.v, last Sunday presented a 40 ft container to Manduar Health Post and the community of Manduar.

The items were presented at a ceremony held at the Mandura Health Post in Western Region.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Sulayman Sambou, Nurse-in-charge of the health post, described the donation as timely. He revealed that the donors have been coming to The Gambia for many years and are very helpful to the community. He further revealed that the gesture was made possible through one Kebba who works at the Airport and is the native of the ManduraVillage. He thanked Kebba for his patriotism and love for his community.

Deputising the Governor of Western Region, Mr. Omar Jammeh, officer commanding National Intelligence Agency (NIA) expressed his delight to be associated with the event.

He said the donors are true friends of the village and The Gambia as a whole.

He encouraged the beneficiaries to make the best use of the donated materials.

Mr. Jammeh advised the villagers' to work for the interest of hospital.

The donated items included second hand clothing, chairs, drugs and musical instruments.

The police band and scout band in Basse also benefited from the gesture.

The occasion was graced by the community of the village as well as the scout band.
