Modou Lamin Manneh was last week sentenced to a one-year imprisonment with hard labour by the Brikama Magistrates' Court presided over by Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh.

The particulars of offence further revealed that he stole six packets of pencils valued at D144, colour pencils valued at D160, three packets of exercise books valued at D225, five packets of markers valued at D750, three packets of felt pens valued at D150, one office door valued at D500, one packet of project letter head valued at D750 and cash amounting to D150, all property of Mandinaba Nursery School.
After entering a guilty plea, the convict urged the court to temper justice with mercy. He said he did not commit the offence alone since he was with one Modou Badjie who is still at large.
At that juncture, the court ordered the arrest of the said Modou Badjie.
