Pa Ebrima Kandeh was charged with stealing in the first case.
Prosecutors alleged that on 3 October 2015, at 24 Hours Bar and Restaurant, at Senegambia, in the Kanifing Municipality, he stole from one Sheriff Fofana D1,700, the property of the said Sheriff Fofana.
In the second case, Pa Ebrima Kandeh was charged with prohibition of conduct conducive to breach of the peace.
He was alleged to have conducted himself in a manner likely to occasion a breach of the peace by using abusive words against a police officer on duty on 3 October 2015, at Kotu Police Station, in the Kanifing Municipality.
Pa Ebrima Kandeh denied the allegations in both cases.
Prosecutor 2717 Jallow rose and told the court he was opposing bail for the accused.
He said the accused is a habitual offender, adding that he used to visit police stations frequently.
He adduced that the accused was previously convicted, adding that he feared that if he was granted bail, he would further commit another offence.
He prayed to the court to grant his application to remand the accused at Mile 2 prisons for the society to be in peace.
Magistrate Mb’ai granted the application of the prosecutor and remanded the accused until 2 November 2015, when the cases would commence.
