Lamin Mbye of the Brikama Magistrates' Court recently discharged one Bakary Sanyang, who was charged with threatening violence.
This followed the application made by the prosecuting officer, First Class 2294 Jammeh that the complainant was the biological father of the accused and they had discussed at family level to withdraw the matter.
He said the complainant had sworn to an affidavit to support the withdrawal of the case out of court.
The application was granted and the accused was accordingly discharged.
