Principal Magistrate Kemo Ceesay of the Brikama Magistrates' Court recently discharged one Alpha Bah, who was charged with threatening violence.
The court's decision followed the complainant's request to withdraw the case.
The complainant, Saheu Jang Bah, and the accused person are husband and wife who had reconciled, Inspector Jammeh told the court, adding that their continuing to go to court will impact negatively on their marriage.
Therefore, he applied under the relevant section of the CPC to withdraw the case.
Magistrate Ceesay granted the application and consequently discharged the accused person.
It would be recalled that the accused, Alpha Bah, on 11 September 2010 at Daru Busumbala village in Kombo North district, West Coast Region, threatened to kill his wife, Saheu Jang Bah.
