Ablie Njie was recently paraded before Magistrate Wilson of the Kanifing
Magistrates’ Court charged with stealing from a person.
However, Njie denied any wrongdoing and was granted court bail of D40,000 with a Gambian surety who must deposit an ID card.
Hearing was adjourned till 27 January 2016.
The bill of indictment presented before the court alleged that the accused, AblieNjie, some time in August 2015, at Dippa-kunda, in the Kanifing Municipality, stole a wallet from one Awa Mboob containing D500 cash and a mobile phone marked HTC valued at D37,000, the property of the said Awa Mboob.
