Magistrate JA Effim of the Brikama Magistrates' Court recently presided over an assault case brought against one Abdoulie Jawara.
According to the particulars of offence, on 27th October 2009, at Tabokoto, Western Region, the accused Abdoulie Jawara wilfully and unlawfully assaulted one Abdurrahman Jobe by hitting him on the head with an object, and thereby caused him an actual bodily harm. He pleaded guilty to the charge.
Meanwhile, Police Prosecutor Sub-Inspector Abdoulie Jammeh applied for an adjournment on the grounds that the nature of the injury was very serious and the complainant was still under medical treatment.
The application was granted and the case was subsequently adjourned to10th November 2009.
