Man granted D50, 000 bail bond

One Papp Tinn was on 7 March 2010 arraigned at the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Drammeh, charged with two counts of stealing, a charge he has denied.

Mr Tinn was granted court bail of D50,000 with two Gambia sureties, who must depose to an affidavit of means and deposit their copies of ID Cards.

The particulars of the offence on count one read that the accused person, Papp Tinn, in March 2009, at Latrikunda German and diverse places in the Kanifing Municipality, stole four sewing machines valued at D119,000, a joint property financed by Christin Muir.

Count two stated that the accused, Papp Tinn, at the same time and places, fraudulently converted D11,500, being money meant to be deposited into business account.

The trial was adjourned till 16 March 2011.
