One Ebrima Ceesay was recently dragged to the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court for the recovery of D17, 000, which was due to the plaintiff, Jesmin Beste, as she claimed.
The defendant denied the claim and the case continues.
According to the particulars of the plaintiff’s claim, the plaintiff was claiming for the recovery of D14, 500 being money given to the defendant by the plaintiff to repair a car engine, which the defendant spoiled during the repair.
The plaintiff’s claim further stated that she gave the defendant D2, 500 to purchase a car battery for the said car, but the defendant went and bought a battery that was not good.
The claim added that the plaintiff then took the said car to another mechanic and paid for another engine.
