Man docked for alleged assault

Alieu Bah, a resident of Brikama, was recently arraigned before Magistrate Abeke of the Brikama Magistrate’ Court, charged with assault, causing actual bodily harm.

According to the charge sheet, on 15 April 2011, at Brikama Gidda Forest, the accused, Alieu Bah, assaulted one Alhagie Ceesay, by beating him all over his body.

Bah pleaded not guilty and was granted court bail of D5, 000 with two Gambian sureties.

The case was adjourned till 12 May 2011
