Man Convicted for Stealing from a Motor Vehicle

Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh of the Brikama Magistrates' Court recently convicted and sentenced one Ousman Jallow to two months imprisonment for stealing from a motor vehicle.

According to the facts as narrated by the police prosecutor, Sgt Samura, it happened on 7th April 2009 at Brikama, the complainant Mafugi Jammeh parked his vehicle at the garage for maintenance.  He added that the following morning the complainant went for his vehicle and found that the wind screen was removed. He then reported the matter to the Brikama Police Station. He said on the same day the accused, Ebrima Bah, took the said wind screen to one Alieu Jallow for the purpose of selling it off. He added there then the accused was arrested and taken to Brikama police station where he was cautioned and charged with the offence committed.
