Man convicted for making false documents

Magistrate Drammeh of the Kanifing Magistrates' Court recently convicted and sentenced one Frank Adigwa to a fine of D25,000 in default to serve one month in prison.

Frank Adigwa pleaded guilt of making false documents and was convicted and sentenced accordingly.

According to the charge sheet, on 18 January 2011, at Serekunda Bambo, in the Kanifing Municipality, the convict, Frank Adigwa, with intent to defraud one Muhammed Jallow, made a false ECOWAS travellers certificate NO: 232/0075675 bearing the name of one Morris Compos with a transplanted picture of his for the purpose of receiving monies through Western Union.
