One Bolong Marong of Busumbala village was recently arraigned at the Brikama Magistrates' Court before Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh charged with obtaining money by false pretence.
According to the statement of the offence, sometime in 1992, at Busumbala village, the accused sold a plot of land measuring 102x109 to one Madina Mendy at D4, 500, when he knew that the piece of land is jointly owned by Dado Marong and Adama Marong. He had denied the charge.
However the case could not proceed because of non-appearance of the complainants.
In the meantime Mr. Marong has been granted bail in the sum of D4, 000.
