Man arraigned for threatening violence

One Yusupha Camara was recently arraigned at the Kanifing Magistrates' Court before Magistrate Drammeh, charged with threatening violence.

The accused, who pleaded not guilty to the charge was granted a court bail in the sum of D100, 000, with two Gambian sureties who must meet the bail condition.

According to the particulars of offence, on 30th June 2010, at Dippakunda in the Kanifing Municipality, the accused, Yusupha Camara with intent to intimidate or cause terror had threatened to kill one Mariama Camara with a cutlass by brandishing the same at her.

The case was adjourned to 27th July 2010 for continuation.
