A man was recently arraigned before Magistrate Clement of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, charged with stealing from a person.
Muctarr Bah denied the charge and was remanded in custody.
The charge sheet revealed that on 30 May 2011, at Bakau, in the Kanifing Municipality, the accused, Muctarr Bah, stole from one Marie Therese Jatta and Halimatou Janneh the following: one I-phone mobile valued at D2,700, one mobile phone marked Blackberry valued at D5,000, cash of D6,000, and another mobile phone marked Nokia valued at D1,320, being the property of the said persons, and thereby committed an offence.
The case was then adjourned till 1 September 2011.
