Man arraigned for stealing

One Alhagie Boye was yesterday brought before Magistrate Ngube of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court charged with attempt of stealing.

He denied the charge and the case was adjourned till 25 October 2011.

However, the accused was granted a court bail of D1, 000 with a Gambian surety.

According to the particulars of offence, Alhagie Boye, on 30 September 2011, at City Pub between 12 midnight and 1 a.m. in the Kanifing Municipality, was found with a plastic bag containing clothes suspected to be stolen or unlawfully obtained and thereby deemed to have committed an offence.
