M Sumareh Enterprise has boosted the Gambia Police Force with building materials and office furniture worth over D85,900.
The items are to be used for the completion of the Bakadaji Police Station construction project.
The items included 60 bags of cement, 8 packets of iron sheets, 3 toilet sits, 3 executive desks, 3 executive chairs, and 6 visitor’s chairs.
During a handing-over ceremony at the showroom, the donor reaffirmed his commitment to participating in national development.
He stressed the importance of security in the flourishing of any business hence supporting the police in their bid to root out crime and maintaining security is worthy and noble.
Receiving the items on behalf of the police management, DCP Lamin Banda expressed “sincere heartfelt gratitude and appreciation” to the donor.
He emphasised the value attached to shared security partnership initiatives by the police high command.
This, according to him, has been manifested by M Sumareh Enterprise, for his support will go a long way in complementing the efforts of the Police and Government towards the fulfillment of their mandated responsibility of effective security service delivery.
He concluded by assuring the donor that the items will be fully utilised while he called on others in the business community, individuals and groups to emulate such giant steps towards nation building.
It would be noted that M Sumareh had on several occasions extended similar gestures to other institutions of government as a way to fulfilling corporate social responsibility.
