Luniburg's perfect start to the 2009/10 Bakau Nawettan Qualifiers is showing no sign of ending, following another spectacular two-nil victory over Cape Point as the qualifiers continued to produce some exciting and thrilling moments of fantastic football at the Cocktail and the Steve Biko football fields, respectively.
The youngsters of Bakau New Town who were the fans' favourite in this mouth-watering encounter opened the scoring when striker Alieu Sonko took advantage of a superb lay-off by playmaker Ousman Njie, who within the twinkle of an eye smashed home a clever close-range effort few minutes to break.
The frustrated Cape Point side could have leveled the scored through striker Abdou Camara, but it later appeared that the Cape Point side never wanted to scored having missed numerous clear-scoring opportunities in both intervals.
And their hope of any victory was dealt with a hammer blow when substitute Momodou Touray affectionately called Mendy capitalised on his first touch on the ball to double his side's advantage, thanks to a brilliant contribution of instrumental midfielder Ousman Njie as he delivered a superb cross from the right corner of the field.
The win is Luniburg's second in a row which took them to six 6 points so far.
Other results in the ten team qualifiers also saw Vietnam Border edging-past T-yard 1-nil, while House of Welding were held to a goaless draw against Nac-City.
Millan FC entertained Rakel FC to a 3-1 win at the Steve Biko Football Field in Cape Point on Tuesday
