Lion Heart Handball Club will clash with Serrekunda East Handball Club in the ongoing Gambia Handball Association National Handball League at the Independence Stadium Handball Court in Bakau tomorrow, 8 July 2011.
Lion Heart Handball Club and Warriors Handball Club are jointly leading the league table in a race Lion Heart are hoping for a victory to open the gap to fellow title contenders Warriors.
Serrekunda East will also be expecting a victory so as to keep their title ambition alive as they continue to set their sights on the league title.
In a recent interview with reporters at the Independence Stadium Handball Courts in Bakau, Haruna Cham, secretary general of the Gambia Handball Association (GHA), said the league is competitive and all clubs are fighting tooth and nail to be crowned the champions.
According to him, they have trophies but are yet to get sponsors.
The event is also part of the GHA’s effort to prepare for All African Games to be hosted by Mozambique in Maputo in September this year.
