The need for unity has always been our call, and we once again call on Gambians and all those resident in the country to strive for national unity.
We have realized that unity can bring about national development, and peace among the people; thus the need for us all to unite.
Since in unity is strength, it is our view that people generally, be it as members of political parties, CSOs, families or friends should all unite for the common good.
It is only through team work that people can make head way in whatever they are up to.
For unity to be achieved, people in groups must put aside their individual differences and interests and foster unity for the common good.
Unity is the base of any organization, without which it would be very difficult to bring about development for the people it serves.
In this crucial moment of countdown to national elections, we urge people to remain united and not to allow politics to divide us.
We should always value our culture of unity and peaceful co-existence irrespective of faith or social status.
It is only unity that can bring peace and development in a country. So let us unite to bring development to the doorsteps of the people.
We strongly believe that unity can only come through peace and stability. Political maturity is important for economic development.
The media has a very important role to play in ensuring that they report facts during their elections coverage.
Journalists should not be judges in their reports; instead they should allow people to judge for themselves.
The media as agent of change should also avoid misleading people, when covering elections, and they should avoid anything that would create misunderstanding.
