Leeds United on Wednesday 3rd October 2012 beat Abuko United by a goal to nil in the ongoing Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation (SESDO) Nawetan Competition played at the East Mini Stadium.
Yafaye Jadama scored the only goal of the game for Leeds United in the 78th minute of the game from a powerful shoot to give his side all the needed three points.
Leeds United have now collected 7 points in four games with a game in hand while Abuko United collected 5 points in four games with also a game in hand.
Speaking to Nyanga Sallah, head coach of Leeds United shortly after the game, he said he feel happy and relax for collecting the maximum three points, adding that, the three points was so important for them.
“From now on we cannot afford to loose a game because every game is a final to us”, he stated, noting that, collecting 7 points is not yet enough for them to secure a place in the round of sixteen.
He noted that, they are fighting to secure top spot or second place in their group, and that, in that case they need their next game as much as they needed the one against Abuko United.
He said they will go all out to play the system of the team both defensively and offensively in other to collect the needed three points.
“We are competing for glory and want to centre the final”, he remarked, and that, for that to happen they have to win all their remaining games.
He noted that, they will go back and try to implement training sessions on goal scoring, creativity, concentration and try to upgrade the standards and level of his strikers so that they can rectify their mistakes in their upcoming games.
