Leeds United are the 2009 Serrekunda East knock-out champions following their 3-0 win over Ball Conge in Friday's clash at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.
As action resumed in the second period of the game, Leeds United who were determined and hungry for a victory opened the score line through striker Amadou Baldeh in the 44th minute from a brilliant header.
Assan Njie increased the scores for Leeds United after capitalising on Ball Conge FC's defensive blunder to increase the advantage to a 2-0 lead before Amadou Baldeh registered his second goal of the day to seal the victory for Leeds United in the 80th minute.
Speaking to the Head Coach of Leeds United, Nyanga Sallah shortly after the game, he expressed delight with the victory, adding that the game was not an easy one. As he put it, Ball Conge FC is a strong side.
According to Sallah, they have prepared very well knowing that the game was not going to be an easy one.
Papa Sarr Corr, the Head Coach of Ball Conge FC who took the defeat in good faith expressed disappointment with the result, noting that his team had failed to capitalise on their chances.
Leeds United went home with a trophy and cash prize of D10, 000, while the runners-up Ball Conge collected a consolation prize of D7, 000.
In Serrekunda West League final, Bundas won MJ Finance 5-4 in a post match penalty shoot-out to clinch the league title in Friday's final.
Bundas triumphed home with D20, 000, while MJ Finance formerly called Gintos went away with D15, 000.
