The 2013-2014 late Kajali Badjie and late Ismaila Nyassi Kombo South district football tournament semi-finals are set for this weekend at the Jambanjelly and Tujereng football fields.
The reigning Kombo South district football tournament champions Sifoe will clash with Nyofelleh in the first semi-final on Saturday 30 May 2014, at the Jambanjelly Football Field.
Sifoe sailed to the semi-final following their slender 2-1 win over Batokunku in the quarterfinal.
They will be placing for a win against Nyofelleh on Saturday to sail to the final as well as to keep their hopes of retaining their Kombo South district football tournament title for the third consecutive time.
Nyofelleh progressed to the semi-final after beating last year’s Kombo South district football tournament runners-up Tujereng 2-1 in the quarterfinal.
They are in for a victory against the champions Sifoe to progress to the final as well as to fancy their dreams of clinching the trophy.
On Sunday 1 June 2014, Jambanjelly will battle it out with Tanji in the second semi-final at the Tujereng Football Field.
Jambanjelly, who advanced to the semi-final after their 1-0 win in the quarterfinal, will be fighting tooth and nail for a win against Tanji on Sunday to secure a place in the final for the second time since losing to Gunjur 2-1 in the 1987 Kombo South district football tournament final played at the Gunjur Upper Basic School Field.
Tanji booked their place to the final following their 2-0 win in the quarterfinal.
They are bent on a win against Jambanjelly to progress to the final.
