The 2011 knock-out champions Lanuja FC have been crowned champions of the 2012 Gunjur Super Cup title, following their 3-2 post-match penalty shoot-out victory over the 2011 league champions, Gamcel FC.
Monday’s final at the Gunjur Nyamina Football Field was a well-contested match which has seen a goalless draw in regulation time.
The Super Cup final was the fourth meeting of both sides in the Gunjur Nawettan. Gamcel won Lanuja FC twice and Lanuja FC won Gamcel FC once.
As the champions, Lanuja FC received a giant trophy and cash prize of D4,000, whilst Gamcel FC receive D3,000 as the runners-up.
